Yeast Surface Display System is a eukaryotic protein expression system. The gene encoding the target protein with the secretion signal peptide is fused with the gene encoding ankyrin, and then the fusion gene is introduced into yeast cells and expressed under the control of any promoter. At present, the yeast surface display system combined with fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) technology and directed evolution has established a mature high-throughput screening method for protein engineering, which has a wide range of applications in many industrial fields such as medicine, food, and biofuels.
