Protein structure prediction is achieved through X-ray crystallography or NMR spectroscopy, as well as computationally based protein modeling methods. Various methods (such as stereochemical examinations, energy-based molecular mechanics functions, statistical potentials, and machine learning methods) have been used to analyze the correctness of protein structures and models.
