T4 Phage Displays Service

Creative BioMart is a well-known expert specializing in the application of advanced phage display technology to accelerate the release of protein engineering. With years of experience, we are able to provide T4 phage display system service based on phage display technology to precisely meet customer requirements.

T4 phage is a potent phage belonging to the E. coli T-line phage, with a typical tadpole-like appearance: a hexagonal head and a long retractable tail. T4 phage genomic DNA is double-stranded linear, and its capsid has two non-essential coat proteins: SOC (small outer capsid protein) and HOC (highly antigenic outer capsid protein). T4 phage surface display is displayed by fusing exogenous polypeptides or proteins with the C-terminus of the SOC site and the N-terminus of the HOC respectively. T4 phage is different from filamentous phage. Its virus particles are assembled in host cells and do not need to pass through the secretion pathway. Therefore, its surface displays a wide range of polypeptides and proteins, and is especially suitable for studying complex proteins that cannot be secreted by E. coli. Based on the T4 phage display technology, Creative BioMart provides the following system services:

SOC display system services

At present, SOC display system is widely used. The small outer capsid protein has a molecular weight of about 9KD, an essential component for the assembly of T4 phage, which has the ability to specifically bind to specific sites on the surface of the mature capsid.

The SOC system we provide is suitable for: C-terminal fusion of SOC tetrapeptide, the 43-residue V3 loop domain of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) envelope glycoprotein gp120 and poliovirus VP1 capsid protein (312 residues).

The SOC system we provide has a large capacity of the system (at least 35KD protein) and high copy number, which is widely used in the immunological display of complete domains or proteins, the study of protein-protein interactions, and bioengineering.
