Phage Displays Service

Phage display technology is a screening technology widely used in protein engineering. Different foreign genes are inserted into the phage vector respectively, and as the phage is passed down, the foreign protein will be displayed on the surface of the phage to form a phage library. Subsequent high-throughput screening of the phage library with specific proteins, peptides or DNA sequences can quickly screen out the target protein or detect the interaction between the protein and other molecules. In this way, large protein libraries can be screened and amplified during the in vitro selection process.

Advantages of Phage Display System

Phage display technology, as a new research method and tool, has been widely used in the study of protein structure. It has many significant advantages, such as:

  • High-throughput screening: isolate useful genes from more than one million phage clones.
  • Phage display can be used for screening of mimic epitopes, realizing the transformation between the genotype and phenotype of the substance, making it easy for people to perform a series of biochemical and genetic manipulations on it.
  • Easy to purify recombinant phage:the purification steps are simple, do not require expensive reagents and equipment, and can be completed under general laboratory conditions.
