Traditional protein engineering methods (reasonable design) cannot meet the requirements for molecular improvement of existing proteins. Faced with this situation, directed evolution has gradually received attention. Directed evolution is to simulate the natural evolution process in the laboratory, using error-prone PCR, DNA shuffling, random guided recombination, staggered extension and other techniques for mutagenesis and recombination of in vitro mutant genes, designing high-throughput screening methods to select the required mutant strains.
