With years of experience, we provide customized services for different types of enzyme activity analysis to precisely meet customer requirements.

Introduction of Enzyme Activity Analysis

Enzyme is a special protein, a catalyst that increases the rate of almost all chemical reactions in cells, and exists in the cells of organisms. They consist of long chains of amino acids linked together by peptide bonds. No two enzymes have the same amino acid structure, and each enzyme has its own unique shape. Enzymes play an important role in many physiological activities, including metabolic processes, cell signaling and regulation, cell division, and cell apoptosis. In addition, enzymatic reactions convert substrate molecules into chemically modified molecular products with high specificity and accuracy. These modifications include proteolytic digestion, glycolytic degradation, phosphorylation, acylation, glycosylation, or oxidation and reduction processes.

In scientific research, industrial and agricultural production and medical practice, enzyme activity determination is often carried out. Since enzymes are biologically active molecules, they are highly sensitive to the manufacturing process, such as temperature, granulation, moisture, etc. In addition, since enzymes are biological products, their activity may decrease with time and storage conditions, so the development of standardized methods for analysis and verification is essential. It is also important to ensure that the enzyme activity analysis is performed according to the best working conditions for each product (such as pH, temperature, cofactors, substrates, etc.).

Services

Although a variety of enzyme assay methods are described in the literature, different assay methods need to be selected according to different types of enzymes. As a leading protein engineering service provider, Creative BioMart has many years of experience in the design and manufacture of active enzymes, and is committed to the determination of different enzyme activities, such as kinases, phosphatases, proteases, deacetylases, peptidases, esterases, and other enzymes. In addition, we take into account a variety of influencing factors that affect enzyme activity, including pH, temperature, ionic strength, and the concentration of each component of the measurement system, to provide you with high-quality customized enzymes.

Enzyme activity determination is very important. It can provide data for reflecting the activity and verifying the activators and inhibitors of disease-related enzymes. It is of great significance in drug development and disease diagnosis. The tests we provide include but are not limited to:

  • Kinetic evaluation of enzyme activity and inhibition
  • Inhibitor screening and validation
  • IC50 determination of pharmaceutical compounds
  • Enzyme inhibitor research analysis mode of action
  • Study on the reversibility of enzyme inhibition
  • Substrate profile analysis enzyme selectivity

Our scientists are confident to provide comprehensive services for enzyme engineering research. We provide a variety of test methods for measuring enzyme activity, and can analyze many enzymes in a custom way according to your requirements. Methods include:
